now that we don't need coldcard anymore, we can use it to play doom. runs fine in simulation, but I bricked my unit when I tried to flash it. not RNG bug though, just some RAM issue 😅

@cbed32 @openstreetmap It places a dozen of small houses if the POI is a town. Adding proper handling of urban places is on my todo list. It will still be stylized and not to scale, but I want to add a lot more 3d models and landmark buildings.

it now works for any region and point of interest available in the @openstreetmap . terrain is built on the fly using Mapzen Terrarium DEM tiles, coastline using OpenFreeMap, and rivers/lakes via Overpass

Machine will optimize endlessly. You still need to provide the direction. Sol and Fable spent nearly 10 hours optimizing geometry and textures for a river system bug in my app, never solving the underlying problem. After a manual inspection I realized the issue was in the data and logic, not rendering...
