@SnepOnSecurity I think the law change came about due to energy companies initially, they charged more to cash-paying customers because there is cost them more to support the cash-topup type of energy meters.
@SnepOnSecurity @lunasorcery These days many businesses in the UK don't accept cash at all, partly driven by Covid, interestingly.
@SnepOnSecurity @lunasorcery Yeah it's not related to fees - it's to stop consumers being penalised if they are only able to use cash. Businesses arent allowed to charge different rates to consumers solely based on their payment method, it's classes as discrimination.

Yesterday, I attended a conference at which an influential financier shared this unpublished map. Look at it. The estimated death toll is 2-3 *billion*; the timeframe is 20-30 years (previously: 50). Segments of the elite have simply 'written off' large parts of the Global South.
