Appreciate the deep breakdown! Honestly, I'm still early in my journey and don't have massive data tracking set up yet, so I'm just iterating based on patterns I've seen work elsewhere.
I do have a skip button from step 3 onwards as a safety valve for friction. Will definitely watch how it affects early engagement!
Currently designing a new 9-step onboarding experiment for my habit tracker app - HabitPath.
Testing whether a longer, more personalized setup phase actually improves long-term user retention, or if shorter is still better.

@bank23232525 One of my apps is also facing the same , while my other 2 apps just got approved for an update in just less than a day. But this app is still in “waiting for review” as an update and it’s been sitting there since last Friday
I built this new onboarding experience for the Retro Cam app last Wednesday morning over a few hours using SwiftUI, with some help from Gemini.
It's available in the latest update, version 2.7.3 (apps.apple.com/us/app/retro-c…), which took a surprisingly long 2 days in "waiting for review" for just a minor update.
It turned out it was stuck because of a pending developer agreement in my account that I only noticed on the second morning after logging into App Store Connect.
After signing that, it was approved that same afternoon!

@zz_nolan Great question. For HabitPath, it shows your overall completion percentage and a quick summary (such as "3 of 6 habits done"). One glance tells you exactly if you're on track for the day!
My habit tracker app - HabitPath just got updated (v2.6.5) featuring Live Activities and lock screen widgets.
You can now track your daily habit progress and watch your completion ring fill up directly from your iOS Lock Screen and Dynamic Island - without even unlocking your phone.

The DailyQuote App apps.apple.com/us/app/dailyqu… was my first attempt to build in React Native last year in November.
It’s a simple iOS app that delivers positive and motivational quotes every day.
But it was a pain to develop in React Native (even though I’m used to developing in React and Next.js for the web) because I had to deal with compilation pain in CocoaPods and a number of CLI build issues.
It took me almost a month+ on a part-time basis to get it completed and published on the Apple App Store, and then I left it unupdated for 5 months.
So in order to keep it easily updated and be able to iterate fast, I decided to switch tracks and migrate it to SwiftUI, which I am more accustomed to.
I started the migration on Thursday and spent just 2–3 hours a day on it. This is the promising result after 4 days with the help of Gemini including more fluid UI/UX, adding new features, themes, a new customizer for the quote background, fonts, and a randomizer for the background wallpaper.👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
Expected to update it on the Apple App Store very soon.

Incredibly honored that my solo project, Grown AI, is a global Top 15 Finalist for the Luni App Contest! Next up: pitching live to the international panel.
Grown AI is a privacy-first AI financial assistant for moms. It maps to your local stores to deliver daily saving hacks—like generic vs branded "Smart Swaps"—turning tips into active tracking tasks.

Retro Cam v2.6.0 approved in record time!
Submitted yesterday at 11 AM, and it was already approved when I woke up this morning (it might have even finished last night!).
I’ve had updates before that kept me waiting for over 2 days, so this was a huge surprise.
The secret? My theory is that pre-testing the build on TestFlight across multiple devices (iPhone 15 & X) gave Apple’s team the confidence to move faster. I guess a solid testing trail really does speed things up. Don't skip TestFlight!

I also built an interactive guide to help users set up these widgets for the Retro Cam app, written entirely in SwiftUI with the help of Gemini. It makes the setup process feel seamless.
Since I've modularized the guide's code, I can easily reuse it for my other iOS apps in the future

I spent this weekend on v2.5.0 for Retro Cam, focusing on one thing: reducing cognitive load.
The real test of a daily app is how quickly it helps a user fulfill their intent. Here’s how we’re achieving zero-friction photography:
1 . 20-Week Photo Grid: Gamifying consistency. Think of it as a "streak" for your creativity.
2. Lock Screen Deep Links: Total accessibility. One tap to launch directly into your favorite filter/Polaroid frame.
3. Zero-Friction UX: Moving frequent workflows to the Home Screen to save 3–4 taps per session.
Updates like these turn an app from a simple tool into a daily habit. Coming soon in v2.5.0!
Current version 2.2.0 is live here: apps.apple.com/us/app/retro-c…#BuildInPublic#iOSDev#SwiftUI#RetroCam#MobilePhotography
