I like the idea of AI for the Department of War, I can imagine the training of AI models for the many different theaters of operations which might include Sun Tzu: Deception, shi (strategic advantage/momentum), winning without battle. • Clausewitz: Friction, fog of war, political primacy, center of gravity. • Machiavelli: Civil-military relations, adaptability to technology/society. • OODA Loop (Boyd): Tempo and agility in decision cycles. • Indirect Approach (Liddell Hart): Avoid strength, attack weakness. • Guerrilla/Protracted War (Mao): Political base + military action. • Grand Strategy: Linking military means to political ends (see Gaddis’ On Grand Strategy for historical leaders).

At one point rioters and looters were shot, that was never a good policy; but summary enlistment in the military, let them experience a drill sergeant, maybe that would set them straight. Probably not fit for military service either. Perhaps we need a neo peace corps, with a Judeo-Christian morality and Japanese cultural consultants to focus the recruits on team building and accountability and societal equilibrium?!
