@ReidFirm @KaeleyT @YourCalvinist If you don't see children as an inconvenience, good for you. Why judge those that feel differently. Instead of, "we shouldn't see . . ." why not just, "I don't see." The problem isn't with your values, it's insisting they should be everyone's values.

@MARKJDANIELS My current favorite is the Common English Bible. It's very readable and mostly faithful to the Greek (can't speak to the Hebrew). It's the product of refreshingly diverse translation team. I'm not sold on the choice of "Human One" for Son of Man, though.

@tracesoffaith Just preached Sunday about Abigail in our summer series "Wonder Women of the Bible" - she'd be a fascinating conversation. Smart, resourceful, brave, and she'd have lots of stories about palace intrigue. I learned she's 1 of 7 female prophets of Israel.

Sometimes females bite the heads off males (Black Widows) or force them into slavery (ants). We can probably agree that's not an example to follow.
