@OfMikeAndMen @MattWalshBlog I like Matt, but like you, I completely disagree that Flock cameras are at all "necessary." They are a threat to individual sovereignty and anyone who can't see that is a fool or internationally deceiving themselves. I prefer a dangerous freedom to a peaceful slavery.

@gunrights I do NOT support Red Flag laws. They allow law-abiding citizens to have their rights taken away based solely on someone's opinion and a judge agreeing with that opinion. They circumvent the right to a fair trial and are therefore unconstitutional.

On behalf of the largest police news outlet in the world, we're officially calling for the resignation or termination of this officer IMMEDIATELY. A female Fort Worth police officer was caught on camera threatening to ticket a retired federal law enforcement officer and Christian street preacher for “offensive speech.” The officer told the man that if someone is offended by his preaching, then “we have a problem” and said she would issue him a ticket. When he asked if she was really going to ticket him for offensive speech, she replied, “Yes, I am.” This is a blatant violation of the First Amendment. Police officers do not have the authority to ticket people for speech that offends others. That is the exact opposite of how freedom of speech works in America. The fact that this officer targeted a retired federal law enforcement officer who was simply preaching makes this even more unacceptable. Departments that employ officers who openly disregard the Constitution need to clean house. This kind of behavior erodes public trust and makes every good officer’s job harder. Pass this along so more people see what is happening on our streets. #FortWorthPD #FirstAmendment

Proton is now publicly calling Windows spyware over the Global Device ID that Microsoft uses for every Windows installation. They say users never consent to the GDID, can't remove it, and that reinstalling Windows only partially helps since Microsoft keeps the old records. The company found exactly one mention of the identifier in all of Microsoft's public documentation. Every Windows installation carries a Global Device ID that Microsoft can hand to law enforcement, and a federal complaint against an alleged Scattered Spider hacker just showed it defeating a VPN. Per the FBI affidavit, Microsoft records tied one GDID to the creation of an ngrok account used in a May 2025 jewelry retailer breach, then gave investigators the device's full IP history. Cross-referenced against the suspect's Apple, Snapchat, and Facebook logins, the VPN didn't matter.
