For a while my AI workflow was to write a giant PRD, point a few agents at it, let them run for hours, and come back to review the pile. It felt like the future. Lately I'm running the same giant PRDs, but with far more human gates inside them. Same scope, just stopped at a lot more checkpoints, with me reacting in real time. "Yes, that." "God no, not that." It's less a closed run I kick off and more an open experiment I stay inside. It costs me more cognitive load, I can't run nearly as many terminals at once, and it's not better for everything. But for messaging, UI, design, and taste-heavy work these iterative loops is driving higher quality. I think its because I'm forcing it to give me more choices, providing more positive and negative reaction data, and then creating more durable artifacts from those series of choices that get layered in for the next set of runs.
