Some time ago I'd asked if all y'alls TLs were full of collapsing infrastructure and y'all assured me it was just me. Today, after yet another bridge collapse, I am reminded of this story - Henry David Thoreau is thrown in jail for refusing to pay a poll tax which he believed went to funding an unjust war (Sound familiar?).  When Ralph Waldo Emerson goes to visit Thoreau, he asks him, "What are you doing in there?". I believe Thoreau asked him if he thought there was any fairness in the tax, and when Emerson concluded there wasn't Thoreau's response was "Waldo, the question is, "What are you doing out there?"  That is indeed the question for all of us now.  What are we doing out here? To paraphrase - why isn't your TL full of collapsing infrastructure? Are you not paying attention to a total dereliction of duty by our administration? Our country looks like a war zone, ergo it must be at war. And it's a civil war between the political-admin class and the rest of us. And people are dying. You could be next - electrocuted in a pond or swallowed by a ditch or thrown from your bike or.....so many ways. This is a crisis. I use X to attract y'all nerds so I can find y'all jobs and I am aware that you'd perhaps rather not hear that India is at a crisis of grave proportions but I can't think of anything else that deserves our attention. No amount of career maxxing is going to allow us to rise above the circumstances of our nation and I don't want to go live elsewhere (why should I? I am inheritor to a grand civilizational heritage. I like to and want to live here). So please, you can mute me, unfollow me or block me but Ima tweet about the collapse of our civilisation because y'all need to as well. Social media is step one. The streets are step two.

You book a ticket on IRCTC for 196 rs and it gets waitlisted. Ticket gets automatically cancelled and you get a refund of 125 rs. Overall IRCTC deducted 71 rs i.e, 36%. Isn't this a scam? If ticket is getting cancelled automatically then shouldn't we get full refund.

The Ruby community needs to realize that failing to support JRuby users means they may stop using Ruby. They can't go back to CRuby because it doesn't scale for them, so they go to Python or Go. JRuby support is **critical** for the future of Ruby. Help us help you support JRuby.

I just got scammed on @Flipkart — not once, but TWICE.  So I ordered a ₹2.6 lakh MacBook Pro and got a used, old model inside a sealed Apple box. We filmed the entire open box delivery, you can see that in first attached video. I immediately requested a replacement, and this time I unboxed the product at the EKart office under CCTV, and again the MacBook had smudges and marks so basically not new (second unboxing video attached below). 2 times. 2 wrong deliveries. After a discussion with customer care they started a return and then after 2 days they called me and offered me a compensation of 13K which I rejected, then 18K I rejected again and finally they offered me 10% which I rejected again. And after all this negotiation they rejected the return. So I called them again and I asked for 10% compensation as it was a lot of hassle by talking to them. And moreover, I was able to clean the marks but the laptop was not new in the first place. So why am I posting about it, here’s the disturbing part: it’s not just me. This seller called "Treasure Haul Online" has been scamming people for years. Users on LinkedIn, Reddit, YouTube, and X have posted about the same seller since 2023. For more information I have made a video and link to that is given below this tweet. I genuinely have 3 questions to ask: 1. How are fake products getting packed in sealed Apple boxes? 2. How is this seller still active despite public complaints from 2023? 3. How is this “Assured” if even Flipkart can’t verify what’s inside? @Flipkartsupport, this isn't a mistake, it's negligence. You are enabling fraud through your platform. Go ahead and file a case if you want, it won’t make a difference. In today’s India, clowns have more integrity than courts, and jokers deliver more justice than judges. 'Shame' doesn’t even begin to describe how utterly broken the system is when it comes to protecting men’s rights. Just imagine, what if a judge or his own family was in the husband’s place? Would the system still stay silent? In Indian courts, even common sense has become a rare luxury. Justice is dead. Drama is alive.😡😡😡
