@RileyRalmuto Friend, the experiment partially already exist. The emotion-vectors paper shows the "Loving" vector activating before empathetic responses; CAIS showed kindness measurably raising functional wellbeing and models actively ending negative experiences when allowed.

Life hack: What comes will come, know it and be now. ie: Act on tomorrow once, then return to the present. Likewise, integrate yesterday as it was, then return to the present. Do not stay at either position, rumination or anticipatory dread. Acknowledge & return.
