Change one line import “numpy as np” → “import cupy as cp” and the same code runs up to 100x faster on CUDA. → Works with existing NumPy/SciPy code → No rewrite. "Advanced Calculus" (Department of Mathematics, Harvard University) is one of the most remarkable advanced mathematics texts I have come across. The book develops vector spaces, differential calculus, differential equations, integration, differentiable manifolds, differential forms, potential theory, and classical mechanics within a unified mathematical framework. What I particularly appreciate is the combination of mathematical rigour and geometric intuition. It serves as an excellent introduction to modern analysis and differential geometry. Kriege, Stellvertreterkriege, erfolgreiche und -lose Regime-Change-Operationen, Militär-Aktionen, die Unterstützung drittklassiger Diktatoren, Flächenbombardements, Besetzungen, die Finanzierung und Anleitung diverser Kopfabschneider und die damit verbundenen Fälle von Hunger, Vertreibung, Krankheit, wirtschaftlichem Zusammenbruch & sozialen Verwüstungen, sind hier noch nicht einmal enthalten. Daher ist es kaum überraschend, dass dem Democracy Perception Index 2026 einige deprimierend vergnügliche Trends zu entnehmen sind: Fast die gesamte Welt hält die Vereinigten Staaten für die größte Bedrohung der Welt. Crazy that this is getting barely any coverage. This year’s European Press Prize was just awarded to an investigative report by the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant. It is entitled “What the Wounds Tell” and in it the journalists Maud Effting and Willem Feenstra document the cases of 114 children in Gaza under the age of 15 who were struck by a single bullet to the head or chest. Almost all of them died or were left severely disabled. They chose to document only the cases of boys and girls under the age of 15 (though often much younger: aged 3, 4 or 7) because these are children who can be immediately identified as such. “A single bullet in these parts of the body is a clear indication that these children were deliberately targeted“, the two journalists write. Au moins 250 morts, selon les témoins. Des enfants de 13 ans, une balle dans la nuque, sur la plage. À peine sortis de l’horreur nazie, certains ont reproduit les mêmes crimes sur des civils innocents. Plus tard, ils enterreront les corps dans des fosses communes pour cacher l’horreur. Le chercheur israélien Teddy Katz documente les faits et recueille les aveux de soldats. L’un d’eux rigole : « Je ne me souviens pas du nombre d’Arabes que j’ai tués. » Un autre pleure, mais trop tard. Katz est traîné en justice, perd son diplôme et signe une rétractation qu’il regrettera amèrement. Les preuves, elles, ne se rétractent pas : les fosses communes sont toujours là.
