people actually prefer events where the host/seating “forces” them to socialize, because making an effort to socialize is aura loss, so a format where the conversation is forced feels less cringe
things I learned from hosting: - the space really matters, it sets the tone - you cannot be a lazy host - hospitality + warmth is a differentiator - force people to move around and mingle
