@BrodieOnLinux @dhh An AI-native OS appeals to me if it means I can change more of my own computer. Security still needs work. But mostly, Omarchy is fun. I'm trying things I never understood or had time for before. I don't need every experiment to make me more productive.

@BrodieOnLinux @dhh OpenClaw comes to mind too. The security concerns are real. I'm also curious about what outlasts the attention. I see Pi, Hermes and experiments with local/frontier models as related explorations, without assuming OpenClaw caused them. I'm interested in where this goes.

Got my X1 Carbon running at 120 Hz, but scrolling still felt off. Found an extra touchpad slowdown for Ghostty in my Omarchy config. Adjusted that and reduced TrackPoint scroll speed by 30%. Tried another tweak, liked it less, rolled back. Keeping what feels better.

My Deskflow wired tunnel had a startup problem before networking even got involved: a systemd ordering cycle canceled its launch. Fixed the dependency order and tested it with disposable units—not my live session. The office wired path still needs a real test.

I made my Vicinae snippet watcher so “immediate” that burst writes hit systemd’s start limit and killed it. The fix: batch writes for 3 seconds and wait until the editor closes. Sometimes making automation less eager makes it more useful.

My laptop said “power saver.” The CPU agreed. The Lenovo platform was still in “balanced.” Cycling power profiles brought them back into sync. A power-mode label isn’t the whole story. I haven’t yet checked whether the mismatch returns after sleep.

My X1 Carbon has a 120 Hz panel. It was running at 60. On my #Omarchy setup, `preferred` picked 60 Hz. Set an explicit 120 Hz mode and verified the actual refresh timing. Before chasing browser tweaks, check what your display is actually running at.

@sidneyvanness @MiaAI_lab hit the same thing on my GLM route. Pi wasn’t sending the thinking boolean, so “off” quietly became max. after fixing yours, did DSV4 still feel much faster in Hermes?

@stevibe The "probably overkill" is the point. Six months of chatbot, then the ASR wall — the model can't hear the client call. That's the honest gap.
