@the_transit_guy Little western NY town I grew up in, finally allowed a McDonald’s to be built on the main highway outside the village, in 1970 (?). Anyway, did NOT allow the golden arch. Brick sign, with McDonald’s in small letters.

Hmmm. Grew up through McCarthy, Red Scare, Cold War, “commie behind every bush,” etc. By the 90s, the pejorative “commie,” became trite. I started using the term comedically. Pineapple on pizza? Commie. You like broccoli? Commie. Older folks got it. Younger, nah. Now…….?

@Lesioneitor @juanjocruzcruz Am 80. Lift reasonably heavy three days a week. No leg work, due to knee replacements. HOWEVER, walk 20-25 miles per week. Had bone density test. NORMAL. Normal is what is normal for a 30 yr. old.

Elon has the biggest megaphone on earth and he just told 241 million people that follow him that Hitler was a “left-wing socialist.” That’s not edgy. That’s historically illiterate. The Nazis hunted down, imprisoned, and murdered actual socialists and communists by the hundreds of thousands. They banned trade unions, outlawed the Social Democrats and the Communists, and put their leaders in the first concentration camps. Hitler’s own words called Marxism a Jewish disease he would eradicate. The socialist in National Socialist was a marketing scam to steal working class votes while the party crushed the left and got into bed with industrialists, the military, and traditional conservatives. You have more money and reach than almost anyone alive. You could use it to tell the truth. Instead you push a talking point that has been laughed out of serious history for decades. That’s not free speech. That’s using your platform to launder a lie.

Todd Blanche was fine with sending Kilmar Armando Ábrego García to die in prison, even though he'd never been convicted of a crime. Todd Blanche tried to prosecute Abrego García on fabricated charges to save Trump the embarrassment. Todd Blanche was willing to let an actual human trafficker out of prison early to "testify" against Abrego García. Todd Blanche signed off on a deal that would allow Donald Trump and his family immunity from tax fraud after they corruptly made billions of dollars off of Trump's Presidential powers, selling pardons and policy to whoever would pay for them. Todd Blanche was, and still considers himself to be, Donald Trump's personal attorney. Todd Blanche was willing to send David Hearn to prison for a crime that not only did Hearn not commit, but a crime that wasn't even committed, all to not make Donald Trump look bad. Any one of those things would be disqualifying for any other AG nominee, but not for this one. But now, Todd Blanche is the Attorney General of the United States. And the issue here isn't just the things he has done, but what he has shown himself willing to do. If the past is prologue, how can we trust that this man, entrusted with the protection of the rule of law, won't just openly flay it? Every Senator who voted to confirm him is a shameless, vile, disgusting, America-hating, antipatriotic bag of fermented dog vomit. Shame on every last one of them.
