@SHistorians Where do you rank Oakmont in terms of difficulty, relative to Pine Valley? It seems to have less forced carries where a high iron approach is required on nearly all approaches. I walked it during the 2021 US AM and it looked like one of the most challenging courses I’ve seen.

Anyone else find it odd when people that are PAID to be on TV get on a broadcast from home and they are looking down at a laptop camera, giving the worst possible angle? How does a producer not say "look, throw a few cookbooks under there and get eye level with the camera."

@AlanShipnuck 2) Once you start putting you don’t stop until the ball is holed. Only exception is 18th green of the final round. 3) No golf ball marks that aid the player in alignment. 4) The ground between your ball and the hole can’t be walked upon, so banning AimPoint. 2/2

@AlanShipnuck What % chance any of these pace improvements become rules: 1) Shot clock on tee boxes. Just start there because it’s flat ground, a known shot before the round, and easiest to put a volunteer there to start it. 34-45 seconds I think would be plenty. 1/2

@SDLiferfan @Daniel_Rapaport @AlanShipnuck @DanOnGolfShow The Masters, especially if you haven’t been before. Truly like visiting another planet, and no phones is the icing on the cake. Once thats checked off, I think the US Open for history, amateur story lines, and sheer volume of golf with almost 60 more players than the Masters.

Logic in a vacuum is sound (load mgmt), but I think he’s forgetting that his play generates tons of $ that make that 15 event $25MM schedule possible
