The algorithm isn’t measuring “how popular is this post right now.” It’s predicting “how likely is this particular person to enjoy and interact with this post?” based on everything that person has done before. That’s why a post can get a lot of reposts in one group and still not get pushed to everyone else, and why a different post with fewer reposts can keep traveling. It also lets new posts get discovered before they have big numbers, and it can take into account whether people actually stay and read/watch instead of just tapping like.
@erinplays87 @GameSack When I was a kid, the arcade game attract mode gave a sense of fear and brutality. The image of Death Adder looked fearsome. Then you'd play the game and see strange monsters beating and tormenting villagers. Miss me with this style of humor. Totally wrong take on the game IMO.
The thing about Golden Axe is that, when I was a kid looking at the attract mode on the arcade machines, it looked /scary/. The image of Death Adder looked terrifying. Then when you played the game you saw these monsters touring villagers. This trailer is... not that.
Thats a hole the size of the grand canyon they're going to have to climb out of. The public completely distrusts and outright hates this technology on a fundamental level. They see it's creation itself as an immoral act built on theft of the worlds open knowledge. The leaders of these companies are also all hated. Nerds like us are able to hold our nose to play with the latest toys, but the public will never.
