Quantum security is no longer just a cryptography problem Post quantum cryptography already exists. The harder question is: how can we make it efficient enough for blockchains? PQC can be computationally expensive, potentially adding significant overhead to transaction processing and data protection. This is where Optimum’s RLNC technology becomes particularly interesting. By combining post quantum cryptography with Random Linear Network Coding (RLNC), encryption and decryption can be applied to only a small fraction of the protected data, while RLNC helps distribute and reconstruct the rest efficiently. The idea is simple: Less data to encrypt → less computation → lower overhead → more practical PQ secure blockchains RLNC isn’t only about faster data propagation. It could also become an important building block for making quantum secure blockchain infrastructure scalable and usable in practice. Math may be one of the keys to making blockchain ready for the quantum era @get_optimum
