Introducing Pulpie, models for cleaning the web. 70% of a typical HTML page is ads, navigation, and sidebars. Pulpie removes this noise and returns a clean document you can use in pre-training or as context. Previously, cleaning 1 billion pages with the best extractors cost $159,000. Pulpie brings that down to $7,900. A 20x decrease.

AI-pilled 250+ person eng teams are making decisions that: 1. Assume foundation models will keep improving, with multiple winners for different task categories, which can't be known in advance. 2. Assume token spend will continue to go up, and will need to be heavily optimized + managed, almost certainly via open source / non-frontier models. For those teams it's unlikely they pick a slack coworker that ties them to a specific foundation model company. But for a vendor that is your company's "first" AI vendor with an enterprise DPA/MSA, it's really compelling to use their slackbot too. You don't need to procure it, you don't need another legal sign off, you can click it, it just works. But then you can't multihome cheap vs. frontier intelligence. How good your company is at AI is downstream of how good your company is at procurement.

WHAT THE HELL is happening in AI? A 3B parameter model just put up coding benchmark scores in the same league as Claude Opus 4.5. 3 BILLION. The weights are on Hugging Face, anyone can test it. I genuinely don't know if this is a breakthrough or if the benchmarks are broken.

it's a trick from dsv3.2: instead of recomputing mask from trainer logits you just reuse the rollout mask because of train/infer mismatch, tokens near the cutoff boundary can flip in or out of the sampled nucleus (i.e. trainer assigns nonzero prob for masked token) nonstandard cuz you dont need if you set top-p=1/top-k=-1

Small models reduce cost by ~2 OOM In non-verifiable RL, where judge latency blocks samples reaching the trainer, judge selection is a crucial knob for training efficiency. Can we design legal agent verifiers that are up to 1,000x cheaper? Verifiers are LLM judges that check an agent’s work against rubric criteria: they're used both in agent benchmarking and as reward signal in post-training. But verifiers can be a bottleneck at scale. For
LLM judges inject their own priors into grading signals, but good rubric design can combat that to align outcomes with human graders: "Explicit rubrics remove the interpretative burden on the grader by moving verification into written criteria: what evidence earns credit, which thresholds matter, and which errors penalize reward."
