An issue in Australian paramedicine is the rapid turnover of the workforce leading to jnr clinicians teaching even more jnr clinicians w/o a circuit breaker to prevent bad practices becoming inculturated It would be like an ED where interns only interacted w brand new registrars

@ketaminh The long delays of droperidol can be legitimately problematic. This risk is partly mitigated through clear and calm interagency cooperation with the police.
@ketaminh As an Aussie, ketamine dosages I’ve seen have been significantly lower. 150-200mg (approximate weight based) as a second line agent after 2 x administrations of droperidol 10mg. The goal being behaviour control and not induction I can’t imagine using such high doses.
@EdHill0 20-30min gives us the chance to get ready and log on early to take a late job for the crew who are due to log off.
